New Volkswagen Golf Unveiled

The new Volkswagen Golf has been unveiled at the Paris Motor Show, it will be available in January. The Golf engines are available in both petrol and diesel. Petrol engines are available in 1.2 litre TSI and 1.4 litre TSI with 84bhp and 138bhp respectively. The diesels are 1.6litre TDI and 2.0 litre TDI with 103bhp and  148bhp. The new features include intelligent multi collision brake and pre crash systems, touch screen information and entertainment systems. The new one has more legroom than the old Golf, the boot space is also increased by 30 litres.

The good news is that there is a minor price difference from its predecessor, thanks to a new modular platform (also used in Audi A3 ) making it possible to build and spec up more cost effectively.
