Honda Is To Join The SUV Party

Honda is jumping the SUV bandwagon and has showcased its plans with a new Jazz-based concept at the Detroit Auto Show. The Urban SUV will share its platform with the next generation Jazz and will be charged with taking the fight to Nissan Juke, Peugeot 2008, Ford EcoSport and Renault Captur when it goes on sale in Europe in 2015.

The engine range is likely to be the same as the new Jazz, and feature Honda’s fuel efficient Earth Dreams engine, including the Civic’s 1.6-litre diesel. This engine will give emissions of well under 100g/km. It may also share the same magical seats as the current Jazz and is a promising prospect for the Japanese car maker.
