Mercedes has officially revealed its all new CLA. It is a new addition to the German manufacturer’s small car family and is the first four door coupe in its class. However, BMW is also about to introduce a 4 Series Gran Coupe and Audi is not behind either with its plans of a low slung A3 saloon. The concept CLA was revealed in Beijing Motor Show and the design of the production version sticks to the concept. It boasts a diamond styled front grille and a sleek roof line. The Mercedes Benz engine range for the CLA will include two petrol units and a diesel engine. The CLA 180 and CLA 250 return 120bhp and 208bhp respectively. The diesel CLA220 CDI produces 168bhp.
The interior feels familiar with bulls-eye vents and a tablet style screen from the SLS. The rear seats can accommodate two passengers easily and three at a push. There are two suspension set up options available, Comfort and Sports. The Mercedes CLA will be available to order from this March and will cost around £22,000 to buy.
