Making its debut at the Paris Motor Show and taking the centre stage is Nissan’s Terra. If you think electric vehicles are only for urban areas then Nissan Terra makes you think again. This SUV takes zero emissions to the next level. Front wheels are powered by the Leaf technology and each rear wheel is fitted with an electric motor. Nissan hasn’t released the performance and efficiency numbers yet. Terra is free of the central transmission channel which allows passengers to have a unique outside view. Instead of an instrument panel there’s an iPad-style tablet, which also serves as an ‘intelligent key’. It can be removed from the car and used like any other tablet, and it continues to keep in-touch with the car’s systems. Nissan assures that Terra’s design does not give a glimpse of next Qashqai or Juke, but it will not be surprising if some of the design element fail to filter.
