The low impact made by the current global model in Europe has forced Nissan to change the design theme of the next-generation Nissan Micra. Nissan is well aware of the fact that the styling of Micra has been criticized in Europe. The current Nissan Micra with its curvy looks is made out to be a feminine car appealing more to the fairer sex. The next generation of the car though can see all new styling to attract a wide range of buyers. It is also going to be more spacious.
“We are adjusting the Micra for the next model; we were drifting, and now we’ll counter-steer,” said design boss Shiro Nakamura. However, Nakamura gave us a hint that the Qashqai and the Juke show the way ahead. “They are already sporty and have a nice stance,” he said. “Over the next few years, Nissans will have a more consistent look.”
