Honda Civic Type R Aiming For Nurburgring Record

Honda has released more details about the next generation Civic Type-R. The new Honda Civic engine will deliver 300bhp in a bid to record the front wheel drive Nurburgring lap record. Honda is putting its full focus on beating Renaultsport Megane 265 for this record.

Honda has set its sights on the new record in autumn when it will  be tested and afterward will go on sale in 2015. The new engine for Honda Civic will be a 2.0 litre turbo with better throttle response and handling. The Honda Civic Type R will be released in 2015 alongside the NSX supercar.
