Audi A3 With 1.8 Engine (Saloon) Makes Its Debut At Shanghai Motor Show 2013

Audi has introduced an all new A3 saloon at Shanghai Motor Show 2013; it is the third contestant of    the Audi A3 fleet. It is expected to be open for sale this summer; however the deliveries of the standard car will start in October this year. The company has also announced that the hot S3 will also arrive at market in the beginning of next year.  The concept of A3 Saloon was commenced in New York Motor Show; even though its auto show debut is earmarked for shanghai motor show 2013 last weekend. The A3 Saloon has dynamic features along with a cross design re-engineering between the three-box and the coupe concept that bring together the fun and enhanced sporty stance. It has its own independent shapes prior to other A3 models; headlights accentuate the horizontal lines with their cuts.

The four cylinder Audi A3 1.8 litre petrol engine TFSI-7AT can generate 177bhp at 6200rpm and torque of 184 lb-ft. it has the direct fuel injection system with the top speed of 146mph and accelerates from 0-62miles in just 7.3 seconds. Fuel economy is also considerably good at 42mpg if we compare it with the performance CO2 emissions are reasonable at 129gm/km. The power transmission is also incredible with the seven speed automatic S-tronic gearbox. The electronic stabilization system has differential lock, that slightly brakes the front wheel to eliminate the under steering effect. Interior of the new A3 Saloon is unbelievably fine and impressive. It is also equipped with new modular infotainment system called “MIB” that offers a SSD hard drive with the data storage capacity of 64GB, DVD drive and whole voice control, high resolution 7 inch screen and Bluetooth are the iconic features of new A3 saloon.
