• New X4 will be revealed in April
• Efficient and Powerful new engines
• Will Reach UK Shores in November
BMW is to initiate two new SUVs for 2014 and its M division is also scheduling further two models. The all new X4 is geared up for production and will be launched at New York Motor Show in April this year. It has the same idea behind its production as the X6 has for the X5 and it goes after a delicately implied 2013 concept car of the similar name.
It will be offered with both four and six cylinder engines and both units will be available in diesel and petrol. The X4 transmission is offered with an eight speed automatic gearbox and a variable steering system. X6 is also following the X4 and will reach UK, after the Moscow Motor Show in August. The X6 was launched in 2008 and more than 200,000 units were sold, but this time it is designed to set a trend of success with a more muscular and sporty look. A fully loaded X6 M version along with X5 M promised huge energy savings and better design, will likely be available at the end of this year.
This all new package will use twin turbo technology for enhanced power from a 4.4 Litre V8 engine which is similar to the first generation X5 M and the X6 M engines. The only difference in this generation and the previous line-up is the power generation capability, said BMW representative. He further added that this refined engine is built for agility, increased power and solid torque. This 4.4 Litre twin turbo V8 engine can generate 547bhp of power and 502 Lb-Ft of torque. Fuel economy and carbon emissions are also improved for better efficiency.
