Audi A6 offers a great range of economical and quality diesel engines

Audi A6 in the previous generation was an average vehicle and the drive wasn’t extraordinary either as compared to thelike s of BMW 5-Series and Mercedes E-Class, but all new A6 model has achieved the Best Executive Car Award by the Auto Express in 2011. It has made its entrance into the market with all new and efficient ever Audi engines both on petrol and diesel sources but the noticeable thing is the ultra-efficient diesels with an array of capacities. The A6 has handsome looks along with the class leading executive interiors and is the only car with four wheel drive system in its class. It is very light weight and swift on the road thanks to the extensive use of aluminium. The steering system is still not that productive and responsive as of the BMW 5 series and or of Jaguar XF, however it is still a good car to ride and drive.

The top selling model in the A6 line-up is 2.0 litre TDI version with six speed manual transmission which is very much affordable as well, it has a common rail diesel injection system that is capable of generating 175bhp and produces the torque of 280lb ft. The all new Audi A6 2.0 litre TDI has efficient fuel consumption and impressive records on CO2 emissions with 57.6 mpg combined fuel economy, i.e. 4 mpg better than the previous A6 TDIe model. If you consider the CO2 emission improvement of the new model than it is 10g/km lesser emission than the old models with 129g/km. All these figures and states prove it as a great selling model. It has exactly the same CO2 emissions and fuel consumptions as of its competitors but it has slower acceleration than the BMW 520d. It makes a sporty noise when breaks the barrier of 5000 rpm and accelerates very well on the straight roads. The top of the range diesel model is 3.0 litres V6 TDI Quattro that is usually called the A6 diesel ‘Daddy’. However this 3.0 litre BiTurbo has the four wheel driving system and the triptronic gearbox that manages 44 mpg on average and CO2 emissions are at 169 g/km.
